In short

MILEPROOF Anti-Chafe Film is a thin, flexible adhesive film you cut to size and apply to skin that rubs, such as the inner thighs, underarms or a bra line. Skin slides against the film instead of skin or fabric, and unlike balm it isn't designed to be reapplied mid-race.

Where to buy: MILEPROOF Anti-Chafe Film for Thighs and Underarms will be sold on Amazon US and TikTok Shop US from January 2027. It is not sold on this website.

What is anti-chafe film and how does it work?

Chafing is friction plus sweat. Over hours of repeated movement the outer layer of skin wears away, which is why inner thighs, underarms and bra or waistband lines get raw on long efforts.

MILEPROOF Anti-Chafe Film is a thin, flexible film you cut to size and place over the spot that rubs. Skin then slides against the film instead of skin or fabric.

Unlike balms, it's not designed to be reapplied mid-race, and it doesn't rub off onto your clothes.

How do you apply anti-chafe film?

  1. Shower or wipe the area and dry it fully. Shave stubble the day before, not race morning.
  2. Cut a piece that covers the rubbing area with a little margin and round the corners.
  3. Apply without stretching the film, smoothing from the center outward.
  4. Remove slowly after the session, ideally in the shower.
Before you use: Do not apply over broken skin. Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to adhesives. Stop using if redness, itching or a rash develops. Keep out of reach of small children; backing papers and small parts can be a choking hazard.

Quality: tested side by side with leading competitors for flexibility, hold through sweat, gentle removal. How we test.

Questions

Is film better than anti-chafe balm?

Balm is quick and fine for shorter runs. Film suits long races where reapplying is hard, or spots that balm cannot protect for long, like inner thighs in wet conditions. Many athletes use both on different areas.

Can I use it under a wetsuit?

Yes. Triathletes use it on the back of the neck and under the arms where the wetsuit rubs. Apply well before you put the wetsuit on.
